Sign The Petition
Now is your chance to make a difference in Watauga County.
This petition will be presented to local leaders with a requested response on the topic of our climate and our environment in their jurisdiction.
By signing this petition and registering your comments you are indicating to these leaders that:
- You are concerned about environmental and climatic policy.
- You believe that the health of our environment and climate should be a top priority.
- You want to emphasize that our environmental concerns can be addressed by creating new, innovative, and equitable economic opportunities that focus on long-term sustainable development policies and solutions.
- You want our area to be a leader in addressing these important issues, not a follower.
- Words like local, sustainable, organic, natural, renewable, recycle, home grown, conservation, preservation, common sense and logical are very important to you.
- You will be voting in the next election.
- Your vote will also follow the ‘green’ line, not just the ‘red’ or ‘blue’ line. Our area is known for its natural beauty and its citizens for their appreciation for nature. Let us work together to make Watauga county an even more beautiful and inspiring place to live.
This petition is purposefully generic, purposefully non-partisan, and purposefully specific-issue free. We ALL live on this earth and we ALL must do our best to preserve the natural beauty and local resources for our children and for others to enjoy. We want to let our leaders know that we care, and we are watching these issues closely.
If you have a specific issue that is of concern, please list them in the petition message section below. This message will not be displayed to other petitioners and will follow your signature to our local leaders.
If you have a comment you would like displayed please enter it in the comments box of the petition or on the page comments below.
Your signature must be confirmed by email before it will show up on the list below, so please check your inbox!
